Day 60
The Edge
Scallop shells both large and small
line the tide’s debris
the sandy beach.
They offer only subtle color differences
simple lines, a minimal variety
of beige and grey.
Red seaweed like small trees of cauliflower,
maroon with leafy tops
craggly edges are intermittently layered
along the edge of the
tidal pool. We walk.
Water slowly, gently flows
over the sand and shells,
small changes in color
in a continuous tone.
Gulls and plovers roam ahead
picking up small bugs, picking at partially
open white shells
And the sea air
brushes across my face.
This poem goes with yesterday's pictures, but what can I say. It's a start. Today's pictures were all work related. I only took a few and they are all of GCC and colleague. Oh well, I had a really busy weekend, today was a catch up. Therefore, you get a slightly old poem reflecting a yesterday.
Welcome to March.
